KRASNODAR, May 31 (PRIME) -- The central bank expects that May inflation has exceeded a 0.12% price growth in the same month of 2022, Kirill Tremasov, director of the monetary and credit policy department, said on Wednesday.
"Concerning weekly data, we has accumulated inflation of 0.13% as of May 22. This is slightly more than for the entire May last year, inflation was very low last year, at 0.12%,” Tremasov said.
“The current weekly data indicates that inflation will most probably be slightly higher this May than last."
He said that the weekly inflation might not match the monthly figure, because whereas weekly inflation is calculated on the basis of 107 goods and services, the monthly price growth is calculated taking into account over 550 goods and services resulting in a 0.1% difference.
